Peer Support Services: Best Practices Project

Project Lead:

Janis Cramp, Addictions Ontario

Description:

The development of best practices and tools for front line workers to ensure that peer support services are provided in the best way possible and are appropriately incorporated into the specialized addictions treatment system.

How will this project benefit Ontario?
This project will identify best practices for active engagement with mutual aid and peer support resources and will provide front line workers with the necessary tools to ensure that peer support services are provided in the best way possible and are appropriately incorporated into the specialized addition treatment system. Best practice development in peer support would help a current system of support to function in a more coordinated and integrated way. It would assist in acknowledging peer support as a viable component of addiction treatment and recovery.
How can you get involved?
Individuals with experience and expertise will be considered for participation as members of the Advisory and Working Committees. Please contact Janis Cramp at info@addictionsontario.ca for more information.
